A sophisticated monster that changes it's look with every degree.
Joern, why did BRABUS choose a V12 engine for the BODO?
For us, the V12 remains the pinnacle of the combustion engine. It delivers the smoothness, character, and performance that perfectly match a grand touring hypercar. That’s why we chose a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 1,000 horsepower and 1,200 Nm of torque.
What makes the drivetrain special?
The engine is mounted in a front-mid configuration, positioned behind the front axle. This gives us an almost perfect 51:49 weight distribution. Combined with rear-wheel drive, it creates a pure and engaging driving experience that enthusiasts will appreciate.
How fast is the BRABUS BODO?
The car reaches a top speed of 360 km/h. More importantly, it remains incredibly stable at those speeds. Our test drivers described it as a car that can be driven with confidence even at very high velocities.
How did you achieve that stability?
It’s the result of countless aerodynamic details working together. The front splitter, optimized airflow management, flat underbody, rear diffuser, active rear wing, CFD simulations, and extensive wind tunnel testing all contribute to creating the right balance between downforce and efficiency.
What role did wind tunnel development play?
It was crucial. We worked with multiple facilities, including Pininfarina’s wind tunnel in Turin, Toyota’s Formula One tunnel in Cologne, and academic partners in Stuttgart. Every surface and airflow channel was refined to optimize performance.
What driving modes does the car offer?
We have GT, Sport, Sport Plus, and Wet modes. Interestingly, power output remains unchanged. The full 1,000 horsepower is always available. What changes is the character of the car, including throttle response, steering feel, suspension setup, and drivetrain behavior.
Can drivers personalize the setup?
Absolutely. We wanted owners to configure the car exactly how they prefer. You can combine comfort settings with maximum engine response or create your own balance between performance and usability.
What is your favorite thing about the BODO?
Driving it. Simple as that. This car was not built to sit in a museum. It was created for driving pleasure. It deserves to be driven, experienced, and enjoyed.
